Before the first visit to the dentist, the patient has to bring along all the available dental X-rays, even if they were taken several months ago. They can be delivered in physical or digital form. If this proves impossible, there is no need to worry. If required, dental X-rays can be taken at our X-ray laboratory near our Clinic, at 17 Kielecka Street.
It is always best to make an appointment before the problem is noticeable or there is considerable pain. It should be remembered that fixing a broken front tooth is not always possible in a few minutes during the first visit, especially with no access to documentation that details the previous treatment. However, we always try to help and do what we can, also in difficult situations. Each patient is required to complete the patient chart prior to their first visit. These requirements are in line with the valid Polish regulations. For this reason, it is a good idea to arrive at the Clinic a few minutes early to have time to go through the documentation and answer questions before the appointment begins.
During the first visit, a dental examination is always carried out. The dentist also performs necessary additional examinations and discusses with the patient any specific requirements in regard to dental care and treatment. If any treatment is required, the dentist will explain its scope and the possible options for its implementation. A schedule of appointments is then agreed on. If necessary, the patient is referred for additional examinations or consultations with our specialists. In some instances, we may refer the patient to doctors practising other medical disciplines.
Remember! Planning is paramount, and the basis of planning is a correct diagnosis – always the best place to start.
